The Basic Dirk

The Culloden Dirk
Typical early 1700s dirk worn by Highlanders on a daily
basis. Has a single-edge blade with a wedge-shaped cross section
tapered to a wicked point. The hilt is carved hardwood with a brass
pommel cap. The sheath is extra thick, hardened, hand-sewn bullhide. Because this is a natural material there may be surface blemishes on the sheaths. Sorry, but we cannot provide sheaths separately or replace a sheath because of these natural imperfections. The dirk is 20 inches over all with a 13 1/2 inch blade.
$95 plus $7 packing & post.
(This dirk has been discontinued but from what we hear from the manufacturer, they should be available for some time to come.)
Dirk for Dress or Daywear
This bonny dirk is 17” overall with an 11 ½” blade
etched with a traditional thistle pattern. The hilt is ebony with
a Celtic interlace pattern decorated with nickel-silver tacks. The
wooden sheath is covered with black leather and embellished with bright
fittings.

The Scramasax
While it could be of Celtic origin, the Scramasax is usually
associated with the Vikings. 17” overall with a very heavy carbon
steel blade, this backup knife comes with a sheath meant to be worn on
the back of the belt in a horizontal position. Bronze guard
and hilt each carved with Norse/Celtic knot work.
Discontinued. We have no more in stock.
VIKING SWORD SAX
Very large saxes (also called scramasaxes) were sometimes referred to as sword-saxes. This new weapon in our line fills the bill. With a carbon steel blade of 16 3/4 inches and overall length of 23 inches, this knife certainly qualifies for the label. Full tang construction with two cross pins, brass bolster and heavy duty leather sheath for horizontal carry on the back of the belt. We think you will love it for...
